Lead Engineer

What is your challenge

As a Lead Engineer you are responsible for the design of maritime, electrical installations in accordance with the obtained specifications and wishes of the client, taking into account the standards and regulations.

You provide general technical support, set up the drawing package and deliver it on schedule, prepare material specifications and compile the required project documentation.

You support the Project Manager and report to him. You co-manage the project team and assign work to colleagues domestically and abroad.

Description of job requirements
  • A completed higher professional education in Electrical Engineering or demonstrable experience in a similar position
  • You have at least 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with the design of electro technical ship installations
  • Technical knowledge of installation activities, generators, and other electrical systems on board of vessels;
  • Experience with subject-related software such as AutoCAD and SEE Electrical (or E-Plan) or you are willing to learn this
  • Knowledge of standards, safety regulations and quality and approval guidelines such as Bureau Veritas, Lloyds, CCS
  • Knowledge of the Dutch language, spoken and written, is a plus. Or you are willing to learn the Dutch language

We work under the Collective Labor Agreement for Metal and Technology. You will receive a salary in line with the market and you are entitled to travel allowance, 25 vacation days and 13 ADV days. You will also be registered with the Pension Fund Foundation for hte 'Metaal & Techniek' and you will have the opportunity to participate in the collective health insurance. You will have access to a laptop and mobile phone.

Your own children can claim a contribution towards the study costs from our study fund. If you want to follow a training or course, we reimburse these costs from our study costs regulations.
