Working on power systems projects at Van der Leun means working on systems for hybrid ships, such as ferries, tugboats and firefighting boats. Hybrid installations can also be found on various types of work boats (such as crane vessels), for example in the form of batteries and/or capacitors. All this in order to use the available energy sources as optimally as possible.

In addition to these PMS (Power Management Systems) and EMS (Energy Management systems), there are many other systems on board that are controlled via a DCS (Distributed Control System). For all these systems, we also develop the HMI that allows the operators to operate the ship's systems.

We also have a large number of small projects. For example, the control must be programmed for hydraulically and electrically driven installations for winches, jacking and skidding systems.
