After an incredible 55 years at Royal Van der Leun, Cor Usmany recently said an official farewell to his colleagues.
When you hop on a ferry, it can be hard to appreciate all the work that goes into building the vessel. Two of our interns got a glimpse of all installations that are being made for these very special vessels; the full-electric and future autonomous Trafikverket Ferries.

At the shipyard of Holland Shipyards Group in Hardinxveld-Giessendam, the two ferries are under construction. A major task as both ferries will be able to transport 60 cars, will do so fully electric, and autonomous in near future. This demands some extra advanced installations as you can imagine.
Together with our dedicated partners we work hard on making this project a great success. We can’t wait to see the ferries set sail for the first time. Will you hop on?

From 4 to 7 November, the maritime world will dock at Rotterdam Ahoy for Europort 2025, and we’d love to see you there at stand 1322.
