An UNESCO World Heritage landmark also known as the Swinging Old Lady or as we call it, the “pontjesbrug”.

On behalf of the Curaçao Ports Authority, Ferry Easy carried out an in-depth study into the electrification of the iconic Queen Emma Bridge in Willemstad, Curaçao, in close cooperation with Royal Van der Leun.
Following this initial research phase, Holland Shipyards Group was awarded the contract for the renovation and electrification of the bridge.

As part of this project, Royal Van der Leun is responsible for the complete electrical installation of the new motor pontoon, enabling fully electric, emission-free operation of this historic floating bridge.
Our scope includes:
- Electrical installation for the new motor pontoon
- A New onshore main distribution cabinet
- Cabling along the full length of the bridge
- CCTV system
- Partial renewal of the bridge lighting

We thank Curaçao Ports Authority, Ferry Easy and Holland Shipyards Group for their trust and look forward to delivering a future-proof electrical solution that respects both innovation and heritage.
