
Alvaret at Work for Trafikverket
After months of intensive work, it is always a special moment to see a project at its final destination.
The order from IHC North America project involves building and commissioning the electrical switchboards of this new Water Injection Dredger (WID) for IHC America. The switchboards will be built in the Netherlands and shipped to America.
The WID is currently built at St Johns Shipbuilding in Palatka, Florida. This is located south of Jacksonville.
After construction, the WID will be transported to Wilmington, North Carolina’s largest port. The area is often flooded, so the government sees the need to significantly expand dredging there. This first WID is a first and a quick fix to address
