We are awarded by Damen Shipyards Group with a new contract to supply a complete electrical package for a Damen Ropax Ferry 6716. The ferry is particularly suitable for the transportation of passengers, vehicles and goods and has been designed to be strong and dependable.

The electrical package for this ferry includes the following:

  • Main switchboard
  • Shore supply
  • Main distribution panels (incl. 3 pcs drives for drencher pumps)
  • Wheelhouse desk / ECR console • Navigation equipment • Internal communication
  • Transformers
  • Alarm monitoring system (AMS)
  • Power management system (PMS)
  • Cable Package
  • Emergency Stop system
  • Fire detection system
  • Announcement system
  • Frequency drive for 250kW bow thruster
  • General alarm system
  • Public address system
  • Battery chargers incl. batteries and battery boxes
  • UPS
  • Commissioning

All products will be produced in accordance with the rules and regulations of DNV-GL. The delivery date of the ferry will be in Quarter 2, 2021.
