New order for the Beagle® 10.2 dredger!
Royal Van der Leun has been awarded the contract for the complete electrical installation package of a Beagle® 10.2 trailing suction hopper dredger, developed by Royal IHC for The Dutra Group.
Royal Van der Leun opens its doors to support the TU Delft Hydro Motion Team. These men and women work on the making the best hydrogen-powered boat. Their drive for innovation is infectious, as they share the same belief in a sustainable mission.
We facilitate and assist the promising students in pursuing their mission: Crossing The North Sea. At our workshop they can work in peace on their mission and get all the help they need: materials, tools and knowledge of our colleagues.
The collaboration between Royal Van der Leun and the Hydro Motion Team started years ago and along the way we’ve seen great accomplishments. With the most special performance being the victory in the Open Sea Class of last year’s Energy Boat Challenge in Monaco. This year they have set the goal of building the first fully hydrogen-powered boat to cross the North Sea. They aim to cover the over 400 kilometers within a single day. Quite an achievement!

Once again, we celebrated our annual Christmas get-together last week, this time not with a traditional dinner, but with a festive late lunch. Somewhere between lunch and dinner, a “linner” (or “dunch”), if you will.
