Electrifying an icon in the Caribbean!
We are proud to contribute to a truly iconic project: the renovation and electrification of the Queen Emma Bridge in Willemstad, Curaçao.
The global maritime industry came over to Ahoy Rotterdam. It's time for Europort 2023. For Royal Van der Leun it's the biggest exhibition of the year, so, time to shine.
With our service record we’re well known in the market and therefor always present to show the latest developments in the maritime electro-technical field. Our own Energy Management System has had a significant upgrade, implementing new user-friendly features and mimics.
We also launched our new smart maintenance mobile application Scio. Scio is our brand new application that makes maintenance on switchboards easy and more efficient. Scio scans components inside the switchboards in the blink of an eye, providing all technical and product information necessary. Both our Energy Management System and Scio could count on a lot of interests from the visitors.
On Wednesday, the second day of the exhibition, we had the honour to receive a delegation of aldermen from municipalities in the Drechtsteden region. Drecht Deal Cities organized the tour which led the Aldermen across all industry leading companies. Full of pride CEO Martin den Breejen spoke to the aldermen about our company and our newest developments, like Scio.
Thursday Royal Van der Leun arranged a bus for colleagues to hop on and head from headquarters Sliedrecht to Europort in Rotterdam Ahoy, and back. This visit brought a peak in so called ‘gezelligheid’ to the exhibition. It was nice to see so many colleagues enjoy the exhibition.
We would like to thank the organization of Europort, Ahoy Rotterdam and all visitors. We’re looking forward to show you all our new developments on the next Europort, in 2025.
Keep an eye on our socials and website in the mean time for latest developments.

Royal Van der Leun has been awarded the contract for the complete electrical installation package of a Beagle® 10.2 trailing suction hopper dredger, developed by Royal IHC for The Dutra Group.
Once again, we celebrated our annual Christmas get-together last week, this time not with a traditional dinner, but with a festive late lunch. Somewhere between lunch and dinner, a “linner” (or “dunch”), if you will.
