Royal Van der Leun Wins Order for 4 Electric Ferries
Royal Van der Leun proudly announces the order for four fully electric passenger car ferries to BC Ferries in collaboration with Damen!
Ho Ho Ho… This year Royal Van der Leun sponsored not one, but two Santa Runs.
As well in Sliedrecht as in Gorinchem Van der Leun Santa's appeared at the start of the run on Saturday 17 December. Both runs achieved a wonderful yield.
Santa Run Sliedrecht
For the first time a Santa Run took place in Sliedrecht. The fun run of two kilometers for young and old started on the Langeveldplein and ended near the Kerkbuurt.
Dirk Stouthart, Supply Chain Manager at Royal van der Leun was a great Santa Claus helper and encouraged the more than 200 participants. A nice amount of € 5,044.18 has been raised for the food bank in Sliedrecht.
Santa Run Gorinchem
There was also a Santa Run in Gorinchem, this year already the 13th edition.
As always, this is organized by the Rotary club in Gorinchem and has a beautiful route of three kilometers over the city walls and the Gorinchem city center, starting and ending at the Varkenmarkt.
Martin den Breejen, CEO at Royal van der Leun and chairman of Rotary Club Gorinchem, announced the proceeds of more than €25,000 and hand out the cheques.
The cheques were awarded to the Kidney Foundation, Stichting Het Dappere Kind, Friends of the Gasthuis and eight local sports and recreational associations.
We thank all sporty Santa Clauses for their efforts!
