A special farewell after 55 years of craftsmanship
After an incredible 55 years at Royal Van der Leun, Cor Usmany recently said an official farewell to his colleagues.
Royal Van der Leun is, in collaboration with Bonn & Mees, working on a significant upgrade of biggest floating crane Matador 3.
The upgrade involved replacing all existing drives. A task completed under tight time constraints. Notably, the Matador 3 is the largest in its series, towering over 80 meters. Royal Van der Leun has previously handled similar projects for Matador and Matador 2.
Given its unique specifications as a substantial floating crane, the Matador 3 required specialized attention for its electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
We thank Bonn & Mees Floating Cranes for the pleasant cooperation and the trust mutual trust.

Made with craftsmanship, for maximum performance at sea! These two custom-made seawater inlet filters (DN800) are key components of the cooling water systems of a large hopper dredger.
This aluminum construction could easily fit in a modern museum, don't you think?
